SPIRIT TRADITION TOREROS

Return for USD’s biggest week and explore an ever-changing campus with alumni, students, families and friends. Festivities include Torero Tuesday, Legacy Pinning Ceremony, Alumni Honors, Fabulous Torero Casino Night, Big Blue Bash Student Concert, Torero Tailgate, Torero Football vs. Drake, and Alumni and Family Mass.

Covid-19 Protocols

Click here for USD’s Covid-19 protocols, which are subject to change. Many of our Homecoming events will take place outdoors. For those that are being held indoors, masks are required except when eating or drinking. For those not vaccinated, mask wearing at all times is encouraged.

Online registration for Homecoming and Family Week is closed. Walk-up registration for all events will be accepted.

Torero Tuesday

Tuesday, October 12 | All Day

Torero alumni, students, families and friends from coast to coast will unite to raise funds that will enhance student scholarships, academic programs and athletics.

Torero Service Week

October 13-16 | All Day

Join USD as we partner with Catholic Charities for the official Homecoming and Family Week community service project! Give back to our community by participating in a food drive in preparation for Thanksgiving.

Legacy Pinning Ceremony

Friday, October 15 | 4:30 p.m.

A cherished tradition at USD, this event honors the legacy of those who have followed in the footsteps of their Torero parents and family members.

Alumni Honors

Friday, October 15 | 5:45 p.m.

Prepare to be amazed for a one-of-a-kind celebration when USD Agents of Change are recognized at the 26th annual Alumni Honors. This cherished tradition returns with the Mother Rosalie Clifton Hill Award for Service to the University, the Bishop Charles Francis Buddy Award for Service to Humanitarian Causes and a special tribute to Torero Changemakers.

Big Blue Bash Student Concert

Friday, October 15 | 6:30 p.m.

The annual Big Blue Bash Student Concert is back! The concert is hosted by the Torero Program Board and is Complimentary for the entire USD community. This year’s headliner is Kid Ink!

Fabulous Torero Casino Night

Friday, October 15 | 7 p.m.

Go all in and support students at the Fabulous Torero Casino Night! Join in a fun-filled night of entertainment, food and beverages. Enjoy traditional casino-style games along with raffle prizes, mystery boxes and a silent auction. Proceeds support the Torero Student Support Fund.

Open House

Saturday, October 16 | 9 a.m.

Come see our new and renewed living and learning spaces for today’s and tomorrow’s Toreros! Everyone is invited to visit the Learning Commons, Copley Library, Camino, Founders and Sacred Heart Halls on a self-guided tour. Travel through the “Arts District” to experience live student performances and art showcase.

Torero Tailgate

Saturday, October 16 | 11 a.m.

The USD community is invited to show their Torero pride at this FREE spirited event! Join in the festivities that are sure to entertain the whole family until kick-off. Enjoy an afternoon of games, live DJ, USD Spirit Zone, photo booth, student activities area and more!

Torero Football

Saturday, October 16 | 2 p.m.

Cheer on your USD Toreros as they take on the Drake Bulldogs in the Pioneer Football Conference matchup!

Alumni and Family Mass

Sunday, October 17 | 10:30 a.m.

Come together with your Torero family to close Homecoming and Family Week with the annual Alumni and Family Mass.
