Ronson J. Shamoun received three degrees from USD – a Bachelor of Accountancy, a Juris Doctor, and a Master of Laws in Taxation. He is a native San Diegan and is the founder and CEO of RJS LAW, A Tax Law Firm. His practice involves federal and state taxation, with an emphasis on criminal tax defense, tax controversy and international tax.

Shamoun has received many accolades and awards, including being named a 2019 Super Lawyer by his San Diego peers and a Top Lawyer by San Diego Magazine. Since 2013, he has been recognized by Martindale Hubbell as an AV Preeminent: Highest Excellence in Legal Ability and Ethical Practices. In 2017, he was recognized as one of the USD School of Law’s Distinguished Alumni.

Shamoun serves as an adjunct professor at both the USD School of Law and the USD School of Business, and he generously supports annual scholarships for both schools. Additionally, he serves on the USD School of Law Board of Visitors and the USD School of Business Board of Advisors.

In 2016, Shamoun co-founded the USD School of Law – RJS LAW Tax Controversy Institute, which brings together tax attorneys, CPAs, enrolled agents and tax preparers to discuss the latest changes in tax law. Shamoun currently resides in San Diego, and is the proud father of four children, Mariella, Audriana, Emilia and Ronson Jr.
